Tennessee is a state world renowned for its historical music roots and its influential role in shaping the music industry, particularly for genres such as Country, Blues and Rock and Roll. Our Tennessee music pathways itinerary connects people with history, with visits to numerous musical landmarks, as well as experiencing the abundance of live musical nightlife and seeing first hand where some of the biggest names and songs in the industry begun their life.
The pathway uncovers the fascinating characters who created and shaped music — from the Carter Family, Elvis Presley and Bob Wills to Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Charley Pride, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Garth Brooks and many more — as well as the times in which they lived.
As you travel through each City more musical stories are discovered and shared, showing how the history of music impacted the larger story of America, looking at how artists and song writing reflected periods of depression, war and cultural upheaval.
A side from music there is also opportunity to immerse in the great outdoors, as you travel through the beautiful mountain ranges. Furthermore, there is an abundance of unique shopping, dining, site seeing, performing arts theatres, nightlife and more on this itinerary, so you get the best of city and mountain life combined.
