This picture-postcard New England town has a quaint Main Street and is surrounded by beautiful Green Mountain scenery. There are plenty of outdoor activities here, or you could take a visit Lake Champlain or enjoy two free samples of the delicious ice-cream at the Ben and Jerry’s Factory. In the Autumn, Vermont might not be quite as green as it is in the Spring and Summer, but the Green Mountains will be awash with colour. Journey past rivers and waterfalls, stop in towns and villages with white picket fences and covered bridges. Savour local produce in roadside cafes, or fine dining restaurants and shop to your heart’s content in antique shops, boutiques and factory outlets.
