Day 1

Arrive in Washington DC and collect your hire car. Depart for Harpers Ferry and overnight for 1 night in Shepherdstown, the oldest town in West Virginia. (approx. 79 miles)

Day 2&3

Explore Shepherdstown before departing for Berkeley Springs (approx. 34 miles), home of George Washington's Bath tub and originally named Bath due to the natural springs. Depart for Blackwater Falls State Park. Activities here include hiking, biking, (skiing in the winter), explore Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob and visit the towns of Thomas and Davis. Stay for 2 nights in Berkeley Springs.

Day 4&5

Depart for Cass (approx. 165 miles), ride the Cass Scenic Railroad through the state park. Ideal for viewing fall foliage colours. Explore Lewisburg - voted the Coolest Small Town in America in 2011. Stay for 2 nights in Cass.

Day 6

Depart for the state capital of Charleston (approx. 160 miles). Visit the state museum and the Capital Complex. Overnight for 1 night in Charleston.

Day 7

Depart for Fayetteville (approx. 52 miles). Activities today include Zip lining, white water rafting or the Bridge Walk, as well as the scenic views over the New River Gorge Bridge. Overnight for 1 night in Fayetteville.
