Day 1 - Arrive in Dallas, TX
Welcome to the Texan city of Dallas and the largest of the lower 48 states. Things are bigger in Texas and Dallas is no exception. You'll find several galleries with vast art collections and fascinating museums, as well as some terrific local steakhouses.
Steep yourself into great design by discovering classics like the Reunion Tower and Perot Museum of Nature and Science, or visit must-see spots like Trinity Groves and the Design District. Dallas may be full of skyscrapers but you can escape the city by wandering through hardwood forests, serene ponds and country meadows in true Western fashion – on a horse! While in Dallas, take advantage of the free transportation options that are available throughout the city, such as the M-Line Trolley in Downtown and the DART’s shuttle service, the D-Link.

Day 3 - Collect your RV and begin your road-trip to Austin, approx. 199 miles
Head to the RV depot where you will collect your home for the next 10 nights, before travelling down Interstate 35 to spend 2 nights in supercool Austin.
Take a historic walking tour of the city, and explore the Nation’s tallest state capitol building. Enjoy the ‘Live Music Capital of the World’ along 6th Street in the evening. The area also has some great bike trails and golf courses, and there are a range of other outdoor activities on offer as well. Day 5 - Drive to Texas Hill Country Region, MD, approx. 75 miles
Known for its stunning wildflowers in Spring, this area is full of rolling hills, flowing creeks & rivers with numerous small family-run wineries dotting the landscape. Families can enjoy the setting and spend time on the river with swimming and raft rentals available. You are also only 45 minutes’ drive from the centre of San Antonio allowing you to spend time exploring the famous Battle of the Alamo, one of the most important historical events in the history of the nation.
Visit picturesque Fredericksburg in the heart of Hill Country founded by German immigrants. Stop in Bandera, with its feel of an old Western movie scene and selfproclaimed Cowboy Capital of the World. Go for a hike in Lost Maples State Natural Area to see the only maple forest in Texas especially in the fall with its stunning vibrant colours.

Day 7 - Drive North Padre Island, Gulf Coast. approx. 197 miles
The Padre Island National Seashore and longest stretch of undeveloped barrier island in the world to be precise. Spend a few days down here and find your own little piece of paradise on the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Join the park rangers at sunrise to watch baby sea turtles being released back into the sea (20 to 25 public hatchling releases happen each summer). Rent a canoe or kayak and explore the ocean and the saltwater Laguna Madre.

Day 9 - Drive to Galveston, approx. 260 miles
Once in Galveston experience this part historic southern town with its gorgeous Victorian homes, mansions and part beach town with its array of activities to keep families entertained for days.

Day 9 - Drive to Houston, approx. 115 miles
Time to head north away from the coastline and towards the largest city in Texas and one of the
biggest in the country, Houston. South of the city stop at NASA’s Johnson Space Center to learn
about human spaceflight. Whilst the rockets are launched from Florida, all the training and planning
goes on here. Stop in Houston itself to enjoy its diverse neighbourhoods and eclectic mix of
restaurants and luxurious shops.

Day 11 - Drive to the Piney Woods Region, approx.149 miles
Continue to travel north into a region that is quite different than the other areas you have so far visited and not the Texas you may have imagined. This part of east Texas known as the Piney Woods region is where the forests meets the bayou with its charming little towns, rich history, outstanding natural scenery, and fascinating and diverse ecosystems. Stop in Tyler, known as the Rose Capital of America with its stunning municipal garden.

Day 13 - Drive to Dallas, approx. 95 miles
Drive back to Dallas and drop your RV off before your flight back to the UK.
