Day 1 - Boston, MAArrive in Boston for two nights.Walk the Freedom Trail and learn the facinating history of the city as well as checking out the great shopping and dining. Why not take the train or boat (seasonal) to Salem, location of the famous Witchcraft Trials.
Day 3 - Boston to the Berkshires, MA, approx. 130 miles
En-route stop at Sturbridge Village, a living museum that takes you back to life in late 18th Century. Spend two nights in the Lenox/ Stockbridge area, exploring the beautiful countryside.
Day 5 - The Berkshires to the Litchfield Hills, CT, approx. 60 miles
Enjoy some of the many outdoor activities available such as canoeing, kayaking, horse riding and cycling. Stay for one night.
Day 6 - Litchfield Hills to New Haven, CT, approx. 40 miles
Overnight in New Haven, home of Yale and wonderful shopping and dining.
Day 7 - New Haven to Newport, RI, approx. 100 miles
Shop in some of the boutiques in the harbour area, take a walk along the scenic coastal path or visit one of the former 'Summer homes' of America's rich and famous. Stay two nights in Newport.
Day 9 - Newport to Cape Cod, MA, approx. 90 miles
Boat trips are available to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Both islands are easy to explore on foot, so you can leave your car on the mainland. Drive to the far tip of Cape Cod, Provincetown, for a whalewatching trip. Spend two nights in Cape Cod.
Day 11 - Return to Boston, approx. 90 miles
