Day 1 - Arrive in Kissimmee and stay two nights in a hotel

Try outdoor adventures such as airboat rides, horse riding, hot air ballooning, zip-lining and challenging golf. Day 3 - Collect your RV ‘home’ and begin your road trip! Drive from Kissimmee to St Augustine, approx. 125 miles
Beautiful beaches, sparkling water and a laid back lifestyle await visitors. From relaxed and budget-friendly coastal towns, to pricey resort communities, this part of Florida is an easy place to find exactly what you're looking for.
Explore the historic city of St. Augustine which was founded in 1565 by Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles, Spain’s most experienced admiral. The Castillo de San Marcos, and the historic city gates serve as an imposing reminder of the Spanish Empire who once ruled these cobblestone streets. The very first Ripleys Believe It or Not museum is to be found here and the Lightner Museum is also worth visiting. There are over 43 miles of beaches which make this an ideal choice for families and culture. Amelia Island is part of the Sea Islands chain of barrier islands, on Florida’s Atlantic coast. It has a history of Spanish, French, British and American rule and today it is a popular holiday destination known for its luxury resorts, golf courses and numerous sandy beaches. Jacksonville is a large city where the St. John's River meets the Atlantic Ocean. Visit the many musuems or nearby golf courses.

Day 4 - Drive from St Augustine to Savannah, approx. 175 miles
Cross into Georgia before continuing north along the coast to historic Savannah.
Dating from 1733, this historic city epitomises the South. Its historic district is filled with beautiful, cobblestone squares and parks, oak trees covered with Spanish moss and stunning antebellum architecture. The city is filled with boutique shopping and galleries including Savannah's African Art Museum, world-class restaurants serving traditional Southern dishes such as Shrimp ‘n’ Grits, and sophisticated nightlife. Take a carriage tour or a walking tour to really soak up the atmosphere and get an insight into the city’s history, or an evening ghost tour … if you dare!

Day 5 - Drive to from Savanah to Charleston, approx. 115miles
This historic city was founded in 1670, and boasts picturesque architecture, romantic history and scenic surroundings. From a horse drawn carriage ride through the historic district, a stroll along the Ashley River, a boat trip on the Atlantic, or a tour of one of the area’s beautiful plantation homes, each with its own unique story.
Whatever you choose, Charleston is sure to inspire you. While you soak up the charm of this historic Southern City, you can also enjoy the contemporary vibes of South Carolina's coastal culture. With its second-to-none restaurant scene, beautiful oceanfront resorts and enduring cultural roots, the Holy City is a haven for history buffs and beachgoers.
Nearby Kiawah Island has an award-winning, pristine 10 mile beach, perfect for relaxing in the wonderful South Carolina weather, or a great place to bike, surf, kayak, go shelling, fishing or bird-watching.

Day 6 - Drive from Charleston to Myrtle Beach, approx. 110 miles

From fascinating museums and oceanfront eateries to pristine campgrounds and unforgettable fishing, it's easy to make lasting memories here. A new shopping mall called The District will bring waterfront restaurant and bars as well as addition shops and a new boutique hotel and 2021 sees the opening of South Carolina’s first man-made surf park called American Surf Park.
There are also plans for lots of new restaurants and brewerys in the soon-to-be-revitalised downtown area. Craft beer, spirits, cookout-inspired food, gastrobars and comfort food with a Southern flair will all be on offer.

Day 7 - Drive from Myrtle Beach to Lake Lure, approx. 280 miles
A long but rewarding drive west through the countryside of South Carolina. You’re bound for the resort area of Lake Lure, in North Carolina, famous for that iconic piece of film, the lake lift in Dirty Dancing. This natural area of scenic beauty
gives a lovely end to the day or if you fancy a great view take a trip to the top of Chimney Rock for amazing vistas.

Day 8 - Drive from Lake Lure to Cosby, Tennessee, approx. 91 miles
You are now heading towards the Great Smoky Mountains National Park area, world renowned for its diversity of plant and animal life, the beauty of its ancient mountains, and the quality of its remnants of Southern Appalachian mountain culture, this is America’s most visited national park! Spend the next couple of days enjoying all the great attractions that the Smokies have to offer including scenic helicopter tours, nature centers, whitewater rafting, Ripley’s Aquarium, Dollywood, Splash Country and The Titantic Museum.

Day 10 - Drive from Cosby to Stone Mountain National Park, approx. 175 miles
Stone Mountain Park surrounds the world’s largest relief carving depicting Confederate leaders Robert E Lee, Stonewall Jackson and President Jefferson Davis. Extending to 3,200 acres of natural beauty, the Park offers numerous outdoor adventures including 15 miles of wooded nature trails and the 1.3 mile trail to the top of Stone Mountain.

Day 11 - Drive from Stone Mountain National Park to Cedar Key, approx. 385 miles
A long drive today but most of it on Interstate 75 and as you will end up on the lovely Cedar Key, at Sunset Isle RV Park, right in the Gulf of Mexico...we don’t think you’ll be disappointed. You will be really close to the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge.

Day 12 - Drive from Cedar Key to Tampa, approx. 125 miles

Day 13 - Drive from Tampa to Orlando, approx. 85 miles
These favourite Central Florida holiday destinations are loved for their world-class theme and waterparks, shopping malls and dining options. With new attractions opening every year, there is always something to come back to!
Orlando encompasses the International Drive and Universal Orlando Resort area, and puts you close to not only the Universal parks, but also Sea World, Discovery Cove, Aquatica and Wet’n Wild, as well as an abundance of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. You do not necessarily need a car if you are staying in this area, as you can use the economical I-Ride bus service to take you where you want to go.
