12 August - Morning visit to Graceland
Graceland Day! Start the day with a visit to Elvis’ beautiful mansion home. You’ll have a self-guided tour of the house and garden before stepping aboard Elvis’ aircraft, touring the ‘Presley Motors’ Auto Museum and visiting the other exhibits and shops, of course! Evening free, perhaps a visit to Marlowes a well-known Elvis themed restaurant nearby.
13 August - Memphis
Today we have a full day’s tour of Elvis’ Memphis taking in many major sights but also the places that were so important to Elvis. We’ll visit Sun Studio where he cut his first record and the Overton Park Shell where he performed his first major concert, you’ll see where he went to school, worked, lived (including a visit to the Presley’s Lauderdale Courts apartment) and so much more besides.
14 August - Memphis
Three glorious days free in Memphis. Revisit Graceland, take in some of the Elvis Week Interviews, Movie Presentations and Concerts, experience the very moving candlelight vigil for Elvis on the evening of the 15th, enjoy some ‘retail therapy’ or take time out by the hotel’s pool. The Elvis Travel Service free Shuttle Service will operate between the hotel and downtown throughout these three days and in the evenings you might wish to join the Tour Managers on a visit to exciting Beale Street.
17 August - Head to Tupelo
Morning leisurely drive to Tupelo, Mississippi where we’ll start our tour of the Elvis sights of this friendly Deep South city with a visit to Tupelo Hardware, where Gladys bought her boy a guitar as his present for his 11th Birthday. Lots more sights to see before we check in to our lovely hotel, the Hotel Tupelo. Evening at leisure.
18 August - Tupelo
Mid-morning start as we continue our exploration of all-things-Elvis before making our way to the Elvis Presley Birthplace, where it all began. You’ll be able to visit the humble home where he was born, now part of a complex including a theatre, a Memorial Chapel, Fountain and Story Wall, the original First Assembly of God Church and Elvis statues as a child and as a performer, all set amid beautiful landscaped grounds.
19 August- Head to Toronto
Late morning drive to Memphis Airport where those on Tour A will board the flight for the overnight journey back to the UK arriving in the morning of 20th August. Those opting for Tour B will instead fly to Canada and on arrival into Toronto Airport will be transferred to the elegant Novotel Hotel in the city centre.
20 August- Sightseeing tour of Toronto
Morning sightseeing tour of Toronto, Canada’s largest city. In addition to the major tourist sights of Toronto, including the spiring CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum, historic Fort York and bustling Kensington or St Lawrence Markets we’ll show you where Elvis stayed and performed in Toronto. Afternoon at leisure.
21 August- Enjoy Niagara Falls
Another treat today as we drive south to the famous Niagara Falls, certainly one of the most awesome natural wonders on Earth. The noise alone will astound you as millions of gallons of water plunge into the gorge below. Time to take a ride underneath on the ‘Maid of the Mist’ or just enjoy the spectacle from above, you’ll be amazed. We’ll also stop at the quaint town of Niagara on the Lake with its ‘olde world’ shops and restaurants.
22 August- Free Morning
Morning free for sightseeing (and packing!) before leaving for the airport to join our evening flight overnight to the UK.
23 August - Morning arrival into London Heathrow Airport.
