Stay three nights in Atlanta and explore the city, including the World of Coca-Cola and the world class Georgia Aquarium. Stay two nights in this University town. The University of Georgia is the birthplace of higher education in America, and its historic North Campus is the setting for some of the oldest buildings in the city, dating back to 1801. The music scene in Athens has produced the likes of R.E.M. and the B-52s, and you can take a walking tour to discover some of the musical routes. The vibrant downtown area is home to some great independent shops and an array of local restaurants, bars and clubs, many with live music.

Spend two nights in Macon. Take a walking tour and discover some of Macon’s legendary music history, which was once home to artists like Little Richard, Otis Redding, James Brown and the Allman Brothers Band. Visit the Allman Brothers Museum, the Otis Redding Statue, the Douglas Theater where Otis was discovered and the stunning Grand Opera House where Ray Charles performed.
